Utility monitoring is one of the most dynamic areas of M2M. The first mass telemetry systems using GSM have been applied more than 10 years ago and our experts took part in that process. Nowadays, such systems can do much more than just show the meter measurements. They detect failures, non-optimal work of particular devices, optimise the work of a transmission network. These systems bring notable benefits not only to utility providers, but also to public administration and end users. The times when client paid too much and provider did not care about depletions are long gone. Nowadays, providers and clients work together to effectively make use of a given utility – that would not be possible without advanced M2M systems.
